It will be a pleasure for us to show You the cooking culture of the Canaries, since the Canarian people are used to going out to have their meals out of homes very often, going both to restaurants and to the famous “Guachinches”. Let us guide you, so that you can enjoy an authentic Canarian meal. Canarian gastronomy is very rich and varied; in it we can find fresh fish, such as: the pollock, the redbanded seabream, the Atlantic cod, or the Atlantic horse mackerel and grilled meat or dressed meat, such as: goat or rabbit meat, the entrecote, or the steak, etc. All these dishes can be served with wrinkled potatoes (“papas arrugadas”) and with the typical Canarian sauces: red sauce, “mojo rojo” (spicy or normal) and green sauce, “mojo verde” ( parsley and/or coriander). As a dessert, we recommend the “quesillo”, the “gofio mousse" and "bienmesabe”. The gofio is a cereal flour; we Canarian people, have used it in our daily diet ,while having breakfast, with milk, or added to thick soups, etc.
